Choose the right pair of underwear for your outfit

Choose the right pair of underwear for your outfit!

Life is all about choices and while the type of underwear you choose to wear might never be breaking news, it’s still worth paying attention to what type you wear with your outfits. Here are some tips for choosing the right pair of panties to complement your outfit.

Sheer outfits

Learn what you can from the stars. For years celebrities have been taking to the red carpet with some of the most provocative sheer gowns, and boy don’t they know how important it is to choose the perfect underwear for the spotlight. We suspect many of those flawless looks are created with the help of built in body suits or skirts. Several types of granny panties visible beneath those sheer dresses have also found their way on the red carpet and have emerged as a popular trend for many A- listers. You can also opt for barely there or flesh coloured tongs or G- strings for almost any sheer look. Lace or mesh flesh tone underwear in the matching colour of your outfit should also be considered for several lace on sheer styles.

Short flare skirts and dresses

Wear something you’d be comfortable exposing to the public – really. High winds have an affinity for loose fitting clothing so for safety, we recommend black or nude boy shorts that fit snugly beneath the butt cheeks. Sexy lace panties with adequate coverage could also be your choice of underwear if you want to feel and look sexy should a mishap reveal what is lurking underneath.

Work attire

Work attire covers a wide range of styles and fabrics – short, long, loose, tight, cotton, polyester and the list goes on. Comfort should be a priority in any work environment, so we suggest you choose underwear that’s comfortable throughout the day. Cotton boxer briefs and granny panties are ideal for loose fitting bottoms. Since we have a serious aversion to the VPL, we recommend smooth thongs and the best seamless underwear you can find on the market for those tight-fitting work outfits.

White clothing

Nude underwear should ideally be worn with your white outfits especially if you are of a lighter complexion. Women of colour can safely go for black underwear. The fit of your white outfit should determine whether you choose a lace or smooth undergarment. Tight fitting jeans and form fitting pieces require thinner fabrics, while loose fitting whites allow you to wear patterned and thicker materials of the right colour.

Exercise gear

Going commando seems to be the first choice for many, but don’t be too quick to ditch your panties. Remember that yeast thrives on heat and moisture so we suggest you combat the risk of infection by wearing underwear made of moisture wicking anti bacterial fabrics. For those exercise bottoms already made with moisture wicking material go right ahead and toss the knickers with no worries of the depressing VPL. If you are still part of the cotton panty fraternity and believe cotton breathes better, go with your favourite style of cotton underwear. Just remember they will likely be some slipping and sliding of the underwear as you work that stair climber.

Bodycons

If you don’t want to go ‘butt’ naked, choose underwear that is seamless. Thongs, G strings and several laser type styled underwear can create that effect. Depending on the thickness of the fabric some Bodycons have a tendency to reveal those lumps and bumps you prefer to keep under wraps. We recommend you choose a great microfiber shapewear. Not only does it smooth out the imperfections, it brings you down a size or two allowing you to live your perfect Bodycon body dream.

There is no rocket science approach to choosing the right pair of underwear to go with a particular outfit.

At the end of the day the choice is up to you to wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Still, we urge you to pay some attention to detail, choose the right pair of knickers and step out confident your underwear and outfit are perfectly paired.
